I love, love, love CTMH's how-to books

If you are anything like me you collect paper, stickers and ribbons. I love all of these things for their color and dimension. Problem is sometimes I buy all this stuff without any real purpose. So as I sat and sorted through all this stuff I decided it was time to use it. Where to start? With one of Jeanette Lynton's how-to books. I picked my paper and looked for a pattern and PRESTO! Instant sucess. Paper I never thought I would get around to using became a beautiful layout.

Close To My Heart offers some great paper crafting products and one of my favorites is the 3-D cube. This cube is so easy to decorate because it comes flat. When you are finished embellishing you simply fold it together and secure however you wish. I had so much fun decorating a couple of these I had to share them.

I used this cube to showcase my brand new niece. I chose the Top Stich Paper pack and various stamp sets to make it.

This cube was inspired by one created for CTMH's spring Idea Book. I changed it up a bit as I did not have the same stamp sets. I took different elements from sets I already owned and voila'.
These make great gift ideas, so the next time you need a unique gift pick one up and give it a try.
